College Balayan’s varsity team once again honoured their Alma Mater when they proved
their abilities in the 2014 Private Schools Athletics Association
(PRISAA) CLUSTER III Region IV competition held at
Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas.
Fritz Nonate G. Tolentino from Bachelor of
Science in Computer Engineering brought home the gold medal from competing in
badminton singles women’s division and shared her victory with her supportive
coach, Mr Jonathan Pantoja.
Jess Baldestemon in men’s division; Shiela
Mae A. Pedraza and Joymee Z. Lagan in women’s division brought home the silver medals
in the table tennis category while neophyte team members were also able to
place 3rd in the same category namely Menard Kim Hepas and Mark
Joseph S. Ferrer with their devoted coach Mr Geneil Causapin.
The Chess Team lead by coach Mr Jayson
Arzobal was joyful when they claimed the silver medals with Adrean Balmadres,
John Carlos Perey, Maria Ann Melissa Caringal, and Jolina D. Causapin while
Beverly Shien Magahis brings home the bronze. In the chess category overall
ranking STI Chess team ranked 2nd in Men’s Division and 3rd
in Women’s Division.
