“Sense, Think and Imagine” themed the 2nd exclusive high school caravan of STI College Balayan held at the Balayan National High School covered court last March 19 and attended by their fourth year high school students.

Balayan National High School (BNHS) is the biggest national high school in Balayan catering to students not only from Balayan but also from nearby towns like Lian, Nasugbu, Tuy and Calaca. The school has been the silent partner in promoting STI to their high school students. Though the school does not vocally promote enrollment at STI, they always welcome and support the STI’s marketing team during career orientations and even provided a bulletin board where STI posters and fliers are displayed. Currently, 28.89% of students enrolled in STI were graduates of the said school to which the number has been increasing since then.

In appreciation to their support, STI Balayan chose to conduct for the second time the high school caravan at their campus which was mostly welcomed by the fourth year students. The caravan was themed “Sense (Art), Think (Business) and Imagine (Gadgets)” with corresponding topics to inspire young minds and presented by four of STI faculty members namely, Geneil J. Causapin, Renato Dela Cruz and Ronan Ira Caringal. The presentation was made more interesting by the performance of the STI Dance Troupe and Notepad Band between each topic phase. The finale was the presentation of the wireless motorcycle security system using GSM technology, a project designed by students from Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering that amazed the high school students. The event was organized by Ms. Maribini Rene Destreza, Career Adviser, Engr. Oliver Noriega, Academic Head and Mrs. Ellen Christy A. Dimaano, STI Balayan President.

The finale was the distribution of ten certificates of scholarships to selected graduating students.
