STI CB sits on Halalan 2007 for PPCRV

STI College Balayan volunteers labored with zeal for honest election and dignity during the Halalan 2007 PPCRV Quick Count for the first district of Batangas, May 14 – 18.

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting of Batangas selected STI College Balayan as the Quick Count Tabulation Center for the First District of the province. The responsibility tested each volunteer's strength and motivation during the days of the Quick Count. Right after their arduous task of monitoring election returns from different schools due to its tie-up with ABS-CBN, they had to report to the tabulation center for more work. However, they did not yield to fatigue even if some had worked 18 hours a day and others on 8-hour shift for the entire week due to the need of the center.

Sixty volunteers consisting of the students, faculty members and administrative staff manned the center for the tabulation of election returns from the different towns of Nasugbu, Lian, Tuy, Lemery, Calaca, Calatagan, Balayan and Taal.
