UBE A NARRATIVE

UBE A NARRATIVE

The first day of the activity dubbed the Ultimate Bonding Experience or UBE was warmed-up by a seminar  entitled “EMBRACE”: Managing Parents and Students Distress with STI’s Guidance Councilor, Dra. Marian De Mesa as speaker and facilitator.

Ms. De Mesa discussed several ideas on how to manage distressed customers and how to deal with customer concerns. She also showed some scenarios on how concerns could be address.

A group activity was conducted to be able to brainstorm and discuss problems or concerns encountered with students and parents.

Afterwards, each group representative presented their output, gave possible solutions and various ways on handling customer concerns.

On the second part of the seminar, the Academic Head, Engr. Oliver B. Noriega discussed different topics concerning STI policies which includes: Courseware Feedback, Change Grade Status and Branding.

The Academic Head discussed in detail how to submit feedback on courseware and emphasized to the faculty the importance of submitting courseware feedback.

In line with the Change of Grade status, he reminded everyone to double check the grades upon encoding to be able to minimize if not completely "zero-in" on the change of grades. He also reiterated the change of grade procedure.

The last topic of the seminar was Branding, the Academic Head retold the importance of taking care of the STI Brand and on making STI the “top of the mind” brand for its customers.

Before noon, team STI headed to Camp Edna, a camp site resort in Calatagan, Batangas to hold the Leadership training.

STI President, Mrs. Ellen Christy A. Dimaano themed the leadership training as “Going Back to Basics Strengthens One’s Foundation”

Games were held like “Pinoy Henyo” and “Minute To Win It” as a practice on following instructions and for camaraderie as well.

After dinner, employees who rendered five years or more of service to STI Balayan were awarded a certificate of appreciation for their dedicated service and a token by STI President-Mrs. Ellen Christy A. Dimaano, COO-Mr. Jose Arnel V. Dimaano and Academic Head-Engr. Oliver B. Noriega.

The activities were attended by eighty-four participants both from the faculty and administrative staff. However, due to the inclement weather, activities set for the next two days were cut short.
