STI triumphs at SK event

“With a great mentor,  a great apprentice” this is always true to STI College Balayan, always on the lead, determined and competitive.

Last October 2011, students of STI Balayan joined the “ Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation of Balayan Pistalakasan and Recycling Contest” as part of the celebration of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2011,where STI Balayan bested all other participating schools.

The highlight of the event was the “Recycling Contest” where STI students portrayed skills and ingenuity. From simple trashes they were able to create a unique and functional masterpiece, an extra ordinary lamp shade which was made out of junk and rubbish resources. The lamp shade is environment friendly and can incredibly attract and kill mosquitoes. The contraption from young minds inspired a lot of youth and received great acknowledgment and compliments from everyone seeing how helpful it was. The masterpiece was declared champion in Recycling Contest category.

STI students also joined the other categories of the event like chess, badminton, bowling, sci- dama, dama and scrabble. Every participant really dedicated and persevered in winning, thus they bring home the bacon.
With these, STI Balayan proved to be passionate in participating and supporting these kinds of events that can help in boosting and enhancing the dexterity of the students and kudos to all the mentors for without their supervision the students will not be able to achieve what they have.
