STI displays OSTImus Prime

OSTImus at Parada ng Lechon with STI

STI College Balayan never misses to charm the crowd with its float every celebration of the annual Parada ng Lechon sa Balayan in commemoration with the feast of St. John the Baptist. This year, the college’s Transporker, OSTImus Prime fascinated the crowd during the parade together with more than 600 STI students dressed in their renowned yellow shirt last June 24.

Named OSTImus Prime with emphasis on STI to uphold the college, the Robot Lechon was crafted by the male faculty members headed by Engr. Oliver Noriega two weeks before the parade. The design was inspired by Optimus Prime in the movie Transformers even before the film was shown in the local theaters.

Duing the parade, OSTImus Prime also captivated the members of the STI College Alumni Association Balayan Chapter who also joined the parade as their initial activity for the year. Representatives from STI Headquarters together with selected Olympian’s players also joined the parade together with the STI College Balayan administration staff and faculty members

STI for the National Abilympics

STI College Balayan will represent the Batangas Region in the forthcoming National Abilympics Skills Competition in Web Development and Computer Programming categories with Aries Macalalad and Bernie Consigo respectively. They made their way up from the Regional to the Provincial Abilympics Skills Competition held last Sept. 15, 2006 and July 21, 2007, coached by Engr. Oliver B. Noriega and Ms. Terranya M. Tiamson
